In 2018, I began my four year journey toward my 1600-hour AmSAT (American Society for the Alexander Technique) certification. I chose to venture down this path because the Alexander Technique is fundamental to dressage riding. Without this education, there would forever be holes in my understanding and use of my own body, my horse’s body and how the horse and rider can move together with a high level of coordination, sensitivity and skill. Here, I will work to continue to highlight the intersection of dressage and the Alexander Technique.
